We spent a week on the fabled “Spice Island” of Zanzibar where we took some time to enjoy the calming beaches, toured spice plantations and were tricked into tasting a fresh peppercorn, and hung out in the wonderfully diverse Stone Town; a blend of African, Indian, and Middle Eastern cultures.
